Optica AZ is an eye formula to support and maintain healthy eye function. It assists in reducing visual fatigue and eye strain and may help eyes to adapt to variation in light intensity. Antioxidants in Optica AZ may protect against age related eye diseases. Astaxanthin, a sensational supplement for better vision, protects against many oxidative stress-induced, age related conditions. Lutein and Zeaxanthin intake betters vision especially in dim light or glare and protects the eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays in sunlight. It may also assist in reducing age related eye diseases. Zinc is important for the maintenance of eye health and aids in the maintenance and improvement of general well-being.

Dosage / Direction for Use

1-2 softgel capsules up to twice daily, or as advised by a healthcare practitioner.

Each softgel capsule contains: Astaxanthin esters extracted from Haematococcus pluvialis 30 mg [equiv to astaxanthin (of Haematococcus pluvialis 3 mg)], R, S-alpha Lipoic acid 250 mg, Tagetes erecta extract liquid concentrate equivalent to dry flower 4.564 g [equiv to zeaxanthin 324 mcg, Lutein esters calculated as lutein (of Tagetes erecta) 5.6 mg], Zinc amino acid chelate 62.5 mg (equiv to zinc 12.5 mg).
Lutein and Zeaxanthin are the two major components of the macular pigment of the retina. The macula lutea or “yellow spot” in the retina is responsible for central vision and visual acuity. Lutein and Zeaxanthin are the only carotenoids found in both the macula and lens of the human eye, and have dual functions in both tissues – to act as powerful antioxidants and to filter high-energy blue light. R, S Alpha Lipoic acid is both water soluble and fat-soluble, it can get deep into the eye tissues and destroy free radicals that cause protein changes resulting in cataracts. Astaxanthin crosses the blood retinal barrier and can exert antioxidant effects to stop retinal destruction by staving off light induced oxidation and protect photoreceptors from degeneration. Zinc is important for vision because high levels of the mineral are found in the macula, part of the retina. Zinc enables vitamin A to create a pigment called melanin, which protects the eye. Studies show that Zinc can improve night vision.
